The legal team of President Donald Trump unveiled evidence in Georgia showing poll workers illegally unveiling and counting boxes filled with ballots late at night in Atlanta.
In a hearing in front of the Georgia State Legislature on Dec. 3, Trump campaign volunteer lawyer Jacki Pick said that the video footage came from the vote tabulation center in the State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta. It was provided to her by a private security firm working for the arena.
“We just got it at 1 a.m., a big team watched it, and we were shocked at what we saw,” said Pick on Thursday during an interview with Newsmax TV.
According to the team, at around 10 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, Fulton County poll workers told election observers and the press to clear out of the vote tabulation center because they were done counting ballots for that night.
After almost everyone in the room had left, save for a small handful of poll workers, the people remaining suddenly pulled out what appears to be suitcases filled with ballots that they had hidden under a table.
These election workers then proceeded to count these votes without poll observers or even press being able to observe the process. According to Georgia electoral law, this is illegal. (Related: Georgia launching investigation after old voting machine found dumped outside of Savannah.)

“Everyone clears out, including the Republican observers and the press, but four people stay behind and continue counting and tabulating well into the night,” said Pick, describing the video footage, which shows four unobserved poll workers counting ballots until well past 1 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Pick said that the poll workers waited eagerly by their scanning areas for the observers and journalists to leave the room before they started scanning the hidden ballots.
Pick and her team believe that the poll workers counted around 25,000 additional ballots, all of which should be discarded.

Georgia officials have denied many aspects of the story. They said that the boxes the election workers retrieved from under their tables were not suitcases but rather container boxes that are used to store ballots.
Gabriel Sterling, the voting system implementation manager for Georgia, argued that the work those election officials did late at night was routine and not out of the ordinary.
“If you look at the videotape, the work you see is the work you would expect, which is you take the sealed suitcase looking things in, you place the ballots on the scanner in manageable batches and you scan them,” said Sterling to a fact-checking website after the footage was leaked to Pick.
The Trump campaign attorney disputed this. Pick said she reviewed a lot of the footage and believes that what the workers were doing was definitely not normal procedure.
“There wasn’t a bin that had ballots in it under that table,” said Frances Watson, chief investigator for the office of Georgia’s secretary of state. “It was an empty bin and the ballots from it were actually out on the table when the media were still there, and then it was placed back into the box when the media were still there and placed next to the table.”
It is unclear what “empty bin” she is referring to, as the video showed boxes filled with ballots being taken out from under a table.
Watson further argued that the area was not secluded but was in fact still open to the public. She also disputes the claim that the election observers and reporters were told to leave.
None of the officials who disputed Pick’s claims were able to explain why the boxes were kept under the table in the first place, and why they were only unveiled after most of the workers and all of the poll observers and reporters were told to go home. They were also unable to explain where the boxes came from and who hid them under the table.
Furthermore if, as Watson claims, no observers and journalists were told to leave, no explanation has been given as to why there were only four people left in the vote tabulation center at the time the hidden boxes were taken out.
David Shafer, chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, wrote on Thursday that the assertion that there were observers at the vote tabulation center at the time the hidden boxes were unveiled, or that observers were allowed to enter the area, crumbles quickly under the weight of the actual evidence.
“[Their assertions are] untrue, as the video shows,” wrote Shafer in a tweet. “Our position is unchanged. Ballots were counted unlawfully and in secret.”
“Even had state monitors been present, the law still requires that ballot counting be open to partisan monitors and the public. But state monitors were not present, as [the Georgia Secretary of State] now acknowledges and the video shows.”
Trump’s legal team has stated that multiple sworn affidavits prove that counting continued until the early morning hours, away from the prying eyes of reporters and election observers.
During her interview on Newsmax TV, Pick said the video shows more than enough votes were being counted without the presence of an election monitor to surpass Biden’s margin of victory in the state – which, according to the official count, is slightly less than 12,000 votes.
“The president has more than one way to meet his burden to contest the election. But certainly this evidence we have now in this video is quite strong to cast doubt. Because no matter what those ballots said, he does not have to show how they voted or would have voted had they not been questionable. It doesn’t matter. They broke Georgia law here by not permitting our Republican poll watchers and press to be present. That’s required by statute.”
