Former intelligence official Bryan Dean Wright reacted to the FBI’s treatment of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, which was revealed last week in bombshell handwritten notes.
The unearthed internal FBI documents were unsealed Wednesday and exposed an explosive plot by top bureau officials.
The records disclosed how the FBI tried to trap Flynn to “lie” to “prosecute him or get him fired.”
“We have these unelected bureaucrats who had decided they’re going to take out a member of the Trump administration,” Wright told Fox News.
“We have this very clear case of James Comey and a whole bunch of other folks on the senior level of the FBI trying to get people fired,” he added.
“Not because the facts warranted it or the law called for it, but because of their own personal, partisan agendas.”
U.S. Attorney John Durham has been scrutinizing influence Brennan may have had during 2017’s intelligence community assessment.
Durham is also examining Brennan’s handling of a secret source believed to be close to the Kremlin and whether he used an unverified dossier compiled by Christopher Steele.
“If they can prove that case and prosecute people like the James Comey, and I think a guy like John Brennan, what I hope will happen is they will try to find whatever the most extreme form of punishment is that they can throw at these guys,” Wright said.

🚨🚨 DEVELOPING…
Unsealed FBI notes reveal the intent of the FBI’s 1/24/17 interview of Flynn:
“What is our goal? Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute [Flynn] or get him fired?”

“I’d love to see the death penalty,” he continued.
“And boy, oh boy, I tell you, if I could flip the switch myself, I’d do it. These men are traitors.”
One of Flynn’s interviewing agents was Peter Strzok, who has since been fired from the bureau in disgrace after his anti-Trump text messages came to light.
Flynn has sought to withdraw his guilty plea and has been seeking exoneration, saying the FBI engaged in “egregious misconduct.”
On Friday, President Donald Trump nuked former FBI Director James Comey after newly unsealed documents were reported.
Responding to the news, President Trump took to Twitter Thursday saying:
“DIRTY COP JAMES COMEY GOT CAUGHT!”
